Hedgehogs, Hygge, ‘Hedgehugs’.
Tina is a Danish ceramicist , based in Brighton Uk. She is also a good friend and fellow windsurfer and the more you get to know her the more you begin to realise the breadth of her interests and talents. On that list is her love of the potting wheel and the creation of some of the loveliest bowls and mugs I’ve seen.

The Hedgehug’s story.
Tina once birthday gifted some of her cups to a friend and after the initial excitement had subsided he commented “these make me think of hedgehogs”. And so the hedgehog mugs were born. But then, after the first few coffees, there came a realisation of a feeling of coziness when holding the mugs, so they had to be more than just hedgehogs.
Also, being Danish Tina has often shared the Danish concept of Hygge - which describes a mood of coziness with feelings of wellness and contentment.
So, altogether, it just felt right to call the new family of pots and mugs Hedgehugs.
